Since this race was being held close to where I live I thought it'd be silly to miss it...
The Contact Duathlon Series race in Christchurch was held on August 22nd, based at Hillmorton School in Southern Christchurch. It doubled as the Oceania Duathlon Championships.
The weather turned out very well for the duathlon and I managed to keep myself very busy trying to juggle the running & biking... and the start line, and the transition area, and the finish line... and today was meant to be a rest day for me!
A big thanks to the organisers for not getting pissed off at me; I did my best to keep out of the way.
